Technology Services for Municipal Facilities: Community Engagement and Accessibility

Technology is redefining civic spaces. This white paper explores how P2S designs technology solutions that strengthen trust, accessibility, and engagement in municipal facilities. From public Wi-Fi and hybrid meeting systems to assistive listening, translation, and digital wayfinding, discover how thoughtful design ensures inclusive, future-ready community spaces.

Project Profiles

P2S partners with cities to design community-focused facilities that balance performance, sustainability, and reliability. For the City of Bothell, we designed the mechanical and plumbing systems for a new, award-winning, 14,000 SF fire station through a progressive design-build effort. In Santa Clarita, the Canyon Country Community Center provides a 25,000 SF LEED Silver-certified hub for recreation, events, and civic connection, featuring flexible indoor spaces and outdoor amenities to serve residents’ diverse needs. In Indio, the Public Safety Campus delivers more than 43,000 SF of essential facilities—including a police station, fire station, and EMS dispatch center—engineered with resilient, redundant systems to ensure uninterrupted service during emergencies.

Accessible Design for Civic Engagement

Technology Studio Leader and Senior Technology Systems Designer Michael Dannenberg explores how P2S technology services are transforming municipal facilities. From libraries and council chambers to police stations and community parks, Michael explains how thoughtful design strengthens accessibility, inclusivity, and community trust.
