Benjamin is an accomplished construction professional with over four years of experience as a Project Engineer. He has been a part of construction teams delivering capital projects in higher education and student services, single-family attached residences, mixed-use residential with retail and conference space, and parking structures. Projects he has supported have been delivered using both CM at Risk delivery and traditional delivery methods with construction budgets up to $42 million.
As a Project Engineer, Benjamin manages all project control aspects of every project. This includes assisting in evaluating and processing change orders, reconciling project budgets, developing RFQ documents, developing and processing consultant agreements, and managing issues between the owner, contractor, and design team. He also manages subtrade meetings with review of look-ahead schedules, validates time and material tickets for work, completes daily walks with trades to resolve issues and validate progress, evaluates progress of the work to the approved schedule, manages punch-lists, and coordinates close-out training and documentation.
Benjamin completed his education at California State University, Long Beach, one of the leading Construction Engineering Management programs. He has ample practical knowledge of design, estimating, and scheduling practices, and is well-versed to coordinate with the contractor team and trades. Benjamin is a fast and accurate worker that values safety and is trained in OSHA compliance.
