The P2S technology group designed the telecom infrastructure and cabling upgrades to comply with the latest California State University telecommunications infrastructure planning (TIP) standards. The building’s telecommunications infrastructure upgrades included the build out of new telecom rooms and upgraded equipment spaces to meet TIP standards. We also designed new pathways for the distribution of both riser and horizontal cabling. We upgraded the telecommunications cabling installations to Category 6 cabling at outlet locations, to support voice and data services throughout the building. We also planned the removal of the building’s existing Category 5e or lesser rated cable.
